Today is skincare sunday, fashion show watching on youtube and getting ready for this incoming work and mommyhood week with my Lambchop. I spent all day yesterday with my alumni association. I serve as president and I am building their stand alone alumni association website and I am their social media chairwoman. What can I say, I love social media, blogging and making sure I give back to my university local community.
Last night was Domino’s pizza, lemonade, and Netflix. Lambchop is spending the weekend with his Nana, so mommy has a little break until later on today. In today’s episode of Skincare Sunday. I am using my fan favorite: L’Oreal Pure-Clay Argile Mask (Red clay mask). When my skin is crying for an exfoliation, this is my go to mask. Thus, I am spending the rest of the day working out, blogging and relaxing.
Here we are I will be uploading all weekend. I have time today, lol!!! People are saying Rihanna has set the standard for other brands to step their game up. Now, there is not a single reason for other makeup companies to launch more makeup that is inclusive and diverse. Check out Youtuber, Kasey Rayton below.
Founder, Creator and Musician Rihanna Fenty is launching her new makeup company, Fenty Beauty. She is a woman for women. She is our champion and she is doing something for the younger generation of women who may feel older brands are out of touch with the young, diverse makeup demographic. Welcome to the Launch Party for Fenty Beauty.
Rihanna, is giving us a behind the scene look at her Launch Party.
I will be heading to Sephora in store, to purchase my items from the entire collection. I am going to be an forever supporter for the company due to her celebration of women and diversity.
I have been using apple cider vinegar for years. I wrote few blogs written back I used it to describe using it instead of deodorant. Now Danielle Ruppert has written a blog post on it recently. Here is her section below on how to make a skincare toner using apple cider vinegar.
The second way to clear up acne is to use apple cider vinegar as a toner. Instead of using those harsh toners that have chemicals in them, switch them out for an apple cider vinegar toner that is super simple to make! Take a clear glass or plastic container (with a cap) and add your desired amount of the apple cider vinegar depending on how much toner you are planning to make.
I use is a three ounce plastic container, that I purchased from the travel section of my local grocery store, and add two tablespoons of the vinegar. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend using less apple cider vinegar. The next step is to then dilute the apple cider vinegar with distilled or filtered water. Follow a ratio of one part vinegar to about two or three parts water. You might have to test out the ratio to get the perfect ratio for your skin. Lastly, once you have your toner ratio all figured out, grab a cotton pad or cotton ball, add a small amount of the toner, and apply to the entire face after cleansing. Then, after the toner is completely dry on the skin, you can apply any other facial products or moisturizers you wish to use!
Both of these apple cider vinegar tips will help keep bad bacteria and toxins out of your skin and body which, in return, will clear up acne and prevent it in the future (with regular use of course). Now, I’m not going to tell you that this will work for everyone and every type of acne… because it won’t… but if you tried almost every acne hack in the book to try and clear up your skin, this just might work for you!
This was my first time ordering from Beautylish. The one interesting and appealing point about the website is their payment options. You can pay all at once or set up a payment plan like, QVC or HSN. Those are the only sites I have ever used to order items for and they used payment plan. The excellent part of the ordering experience is the shipping. They use Fedex. Their shipping is fast and I will definitely become a repeat customer.
The items ordered were all from Charlotte Tilbury. I was introduced to the brand by watching one of Kim Kardashian app videos, as a subscriber. She gave Ms. Tilbury good review and I thought, “I need to check her out.” One thing I realized quickly that her items were a little high priced and after my Chanel makeup and skincare splurge, I would wait for Ms. Tilbury. I am glad I did. Not that I needed another foundation, but I seem to be drawn into buying more foundations than I need. However, I do use them. I mainly use my Chanel. Now, I am going to begin using my Charlotte Tilbury foundation.
The one item I cannot wait to get into is the CT (Charlotte Tilbury) Multi-Miracle Glow. It is supposed to be used as a cleanser, mask and Balm for baby soft skin. It is an anti-wrinkle cashmere cleanser, an overnight regenerating facial mask and a face and body (sos) Balm. I cannot wait to see what happens and of course I will keep you posted.
If she can do it, so can you. If she can live life on her own terms, what’s stopping you from living life on your own terms. Dress how you wish. Make up your face. What I have learned is to treat my face like a canvas.
I am caring for my face and loving my blemishes away. I use Bio Oil, Mederma (the generic version from walgreen, because it was on sale, LOL). I am into the ipsy bags! They have some cute stuff they send monthly. I dress and pay attention to what looks good on my body. I weigh myself. I want to be honest with myself about my weight struggles. It’s ok!
Be like Rhianna! Live life! Forget everything else!
This is CeraVe moisturizing cream for normal to dry skin. I was in Sams and saw this product and instead of buying the OLAY moisturizer, I purchased this. For less than $10.oo and at Sams club, it works very well. I am seeing great changes in my skin and will use it as my makeup moisturizer as well.
It works for for me because I suffer with dry/combination skin. This was a great find that I wasn’t searching for.
1st: skincare is the foundation of any true fashionable woman. If her face is dirty, she’s DOA in her pictures. The best thing you can do is give yourself a facial. Either by salon or at home. This product is one of my favorites. The price isn’t cheap; however, good skincare is a must and there are cheaper brands. However, this is my favorite.💋💋
